Wilfred Lawrence Knox OGS FSA FBA (1886–1950) was an English Anglican priest, theologian, and New Testament scholar. As a Hellenist, he wrote scholarly studies of Paul, ecclesiastical history and promoted Anglo-Catholicism.
This set is a model of clarity and thoughtfulneess which summarizes Knox's mature thoughts on the materials underlying the Synoptic gospels--edited superbly by distinguished NT expert H. Chadwick.
Outstanding overall condition. The dust jacket flap in vols. I & II have had the lower corners (& British prices?) clipped though the $4.00 prices at each flap's top remains. No previous ownership marks.
