All 40 plates present; tissue guard for frontispiece & title page only. Includes all "Dark Plates" by Phiz in relatively bright condition. These include the dismal "Marshalsea Prison" and famous "Circumlocution Office." Foxing and browning to many plates and pages. No advertisements bound into volume.
Binding and hinges are holding well as are the pages, which are tight. Wear to extremities.
Original marbled boards now brown. No spine label. Signature on front pastedown. Bookplate upside down on rear pastedown. No advertisements bound into the volume.
