The contents of this slim pleasant volume include an overview of Twain's activities in the Far West. The pieces include (portions?) of his lecture on "Scenery" in the Far West [1868]; another droll discourse called "Roughing It" [1871]; and the third called "Roughing It on the Silver Frontier" [c.1873-74].
