Orignally an episode in Twain's, Roughing IT (1872), this story about his Wild West travels (1861-1867) was subsequently released as a short story.
Tight, clean copy with bright, unmarked and unfoxed illustrations. Its cover is slightly rubbed with very light soil and a few mini-chips mainly along its upper edge. Very slightly age-toned. The very large fold-out of Mark Twain's letter from "Daily Call" attached inside the rear wrapper is in unblemished, unfrayed, and near perfect condition.
