Attractive INSCRIBED reprint of Mark Twain's, short story "The Dandy Frightening The Squatter." Recipient was a member of the Chicago Caxton Club. Sam Clemens wrote his first published story when only 16. Franklin Meine, a humorist who discovered the story in "The Carpet Bag," has written a lengthy introduction about the piece.
Fine Condition: Tight, bright, clean copy without foxing or fading. This booklet was handset on quality paper with an original wood-engraved colored ilustration by Dale Ballantyne.
