Splendid illustrated source on the greatest Italian violins by a prominent London expert-and-dealer. This revised and enlarged edition includes new material on Cremona and Antonio Stradivari.
Solid, clean copy with quite bright gilt stamping on cover and spine; light wear though corners are somewhat curved and slightly worn; 1/2" x 3/8" loss to gilded decorative band at top of spine; light age-toning though plates (and their tissue guards) are unfoxed without speckling. Residue of two thumbnail-sized tape-marks on front paste-down.
A superb gift for any musician--especially a violinist or player of a stringed instrument.
