Dame Mary Barbara Cartland, DBE, CStJ (1901 – 2000) was a prolific English novelist who wrote best-selling romance novels. In addition to 723 novels, she also wrote plays, music (including An Album of Love Songs), verse, drama, magazine articles, a guide to married life, and even an operetta. Apocalypse of the Heart was written under her pseudonym of Marcus Belfrey.
As a Random House subsidiary, Gramercy Press's copyright number line ending in "2" indicates a first printing. There is also a Wing Books edition(Avenel, N.J.) from 1995, but we do not know which edition has precedence.
SUPERIOR CONDITION internally. A slight bump to upper corner and traces of rubbing to the dust jacket (unclipped).
