Aldiss is famous for his numerous Sci-Fi novels (e.g., Non-Stop [1958], The Primal Urge [1961], Hothouse [1962], Frankenstein Unbound [1973], the Helliconia Trilogy [1982-85]); as well as short stories (e.g., No Time Like Tomorrow [1959], Neanderthal Planet [1970], "Super-Toys Last All Summer Long"--the basis for Spielberg's, A.I. Artificial Intelligence). Aldiss is a VP of the international H. G. Wells Society, and has won nearly every prestigious Sci-Fi award.
