Very Fine chromolithograph of a male and female spotted eagle perched on a tree limb.

Julius Adolf Oskar Riesenthal (1830-1898) was a prominent engraver; Theodor Fischer, an excellent chromolithographer. One of 60 very clean hand-colored chromolithographic plates after Riesenthal by Th. Fischer. The sixty plates depict the birds in a natural setting, typically at one-third life size.
