PSYCHE'S TASK; A Discourse Concerning the Influence of Superstition on the Growth of Institutions

London: Macmillan & Co. Limited, 1913. Second Edition. Cloth. PRESENTATION COPY, 8vo, dark green original publisher's cloth with gold lettering on spine, Mylar-protected, xi + 186 pages + [2] Advertisements for Frazer's books. Near Fine / None. Item #1665

Embossed seal stating "Presentation Copy" on lower right corner of title page.

Contains the important essay "The Scope of Social Anthropology" by Frazer.

Superior Condition! Near Fine: tight, clean, solid, bright copy--much enhanced by the embossed seal that it's a "Presentation Copy" by Frazer (though, alas, not
signed by him). Its priincipal defect is some abrasion to the cap or top of the spine. Slight fading to gilt lettering on spine. Some copies may have had a glassine wrapper: this copy does not, though we have wrapped it in a clear protective archival quality plastic sleeve.

Price: $95.00
