Light rubbing to corners; slightly shaken, previous owner's inscription on front pastedown. Pages generally clean though there is some foxing to the steel engravings and occasional browned offset of engraved images onto otherwise clean pages.
Overall a much better than average copy of this Scarce, large and informative summary about Union Naval Officers during the Civil War.
