Dorothy and the Wizard in Oz (1908) by L. Frank Baum was fourth in the Oz series.
L. F. Baum (1856 – 1919) was a bestselling American author famous for his children's books, particularly The Wonderful Wizard of Oz and its sequels. He wrote a total of 14 novels in the Oz series, plus 41 other novels, 83 short stories, over 200 poems, and at least 42 scripts.
GOOD CONDITION. Cloth is firm with a few scuffs, light soil, bumping and abraision to corners. Front colorful pastedown has flaking; corners are slightly worn. Pages are moderately age-toned and rather brittle. B&W plates remain bright without foxing. Tear closed at top of p85. No dust jacket. Previous owner's stamps of "December 25, 1941" (2xs) are on front free endpaper. Pencil ownership markings on ffe and preliminary ownership page have been erased. Otherwise pages are without marks or scribbles.
