After the French frigate "Medusa" ran aground and sank of the shore of Senegal in Africa, a number of the survivors of the 400 originally aboard were gathered on a flimsy raft. It was then cut adrift by supposed lifeboat rescuers from the ship The rugged men on the raft were often drunken soldiers and sailors; plus there was one desperate woman. On their second night adrift, the men went on a killing spree which led to murder, suicide, famine, and even cannibalism.

Tight, clean copy in a bright unclipped dust jacket. Very slight edgewear to the head and foot of the dj's spine. Lengthy gift inscription on front free endpaper. No internal markings or remaindering.
