SCARCE in this condition!

HIGHLY ATTRACTIVE EDITION of the COLOR PHOTO, DUST-JACKETED & MOVIE SCENE- ILLUSTRATED EDITION of the FIRST PHOTOPLAY EDITION of PETER & WENDY (1924). This book is from the Paramount silent film adaption of the 1904 play by James M. Barrie copyrighted in 1911.

Sir James Matthew Barrie, 1st Baronet, OM (1860 – 1937) was a Scottish novelist and playwright, best remembered as the creator of Peter Pan.

The Paramount silent film starred teenage actress Betty Bromson (1896-1971) as Peter Pan. She was hand-picked by James Barrie over Gloria Swanson and even Mary Pickford. Wendy was played by Mary Brian (1906-2002) who later successfully transitioned to Talkies.

Solid, clean copy! Moderate uniform age-toning to paper and clean plates (a few with ever-so-fainty hints of foxing). The dust jacket is unclipped and retains good coloration with considerable wear and edge-chipping. No previous owner marks.
