Anne Tyler (born 1941) is an Pulitzer Prize-winning American novelist, short story writer, and literary critic. She has published twenty-three novels. Tyler's awards include: Janet Heidinger Kafka Prize for Fiction (1980), National Book Critics Circle Award for Fiction (1985), Pulitzer Prize for Fiction (1989), and longlisted for the Man Booker Prize for Lifetime achievement (2020).
