Gustave Flaubert (1821 – 1880) was a French novelist known especially for his debut novel Madame Bovary (1857); also for Salammbô (1862) and a Sentimental Education (1869). He is also greatly admired for his Correspondence with George Sand, and his devotion to style and aesthetics which blended romanticism with realism.
November (French: Novembre) was Gustave Flaubert's first completed work, a novella first completed in 1842.
