Charley Harper (1922 – 2007) was a Cincinnati-based American Modernist artist. He was best known for his highly stylized yet elegant wildlife prints, posters, and book illustrations.
For 40 years, Harper created many covers and hundreds of beautiful colored graphics for the "Ford Times" from 1948 until 1982. Later, as a naturalist, his recognition and reputation soared when Frame House Gallery sold his designs in the 1970s.
