Kenneth Roberts (1885 – 1957) was a distinguished and greatly respected American writer of regionalist historical novels, often writing about his native state of Maine and New England conflicts centered on the American Revolutionary War. For example, the main characters in Arundel and RABBLE IN ARMS are from Kennebunkport, Maine, the author's birthplace (then called Arundel). Roberts' First Edition of Arundel was copyrighted in 1930.
