The Edmund Dulac illustrated Rubáyát of Omar Khayyám is generally considered the high point of Dulac's artistry and was an immediate, enormous success. Edmund Dulac (1882 – 1953) was a French born & British-naturalised magazine illustrator, brilliant book illustrator, and stamp designer.

The Fitzgerald translation remains the perennial favorate. This text consists of two English language versions of The Rubaiyat from the First and Second Edition by Fitzgerald.

Solid copy with moderate wear; bright gilt on spine and front cover; light uniform age-toning to pages, and slight foxing on pages i-v. Presentation on verso of half title by previous owner is dated 1918. Back cover by top of gutter has a 1" narrow ink stain. The beautiful Dulac illustrations are all present and in EXCELLENT CONDITION and without foxing.

Overall, a beautifully illustrated copy of this classic poem.
