Henry James's articles about England were written for several periodcials from 1870-1890. They appeared in a 1905 collection illustrated by Joseph Pennell. The author's descriptions 'of the English countryside, monuments, university and cathedral cities retain remarkable freshness while his observations on the manners of the English recall other great 19th century novelists.
