EXCELLENT condition.

WHISTLE (1976) tells the story of four wounded South Pacific veterans brought back by hospital ship to the United States during World War II. It is the third part of his war trilogy, after From Here to Eternity (1951) and The Thin Red Line (1962). Because Jones died before completing his novel, the final three chapters were completed by Willie Morris based upon what Jones had already written, conversations he had had with the author, and extensive notes.

James Jones (1921 – 1977) was an American novelist best known for his novels about World War II. He won the 1952 National Book Award for his first novel, From Here to Eternity (1951).
