Stewart Wavell (1921–2010), was a British-Malayan and BBC broadcaster, sound recordist and writer, and a member of the Malaysian Branch of the Royal Asiatic Society. This is the story of the 1962 Cambridge University anthropological expedition through the Malay Peninsula in search for lost civilizations and cultural survivals.

The N ga are divine, semi-divine deities, or a semi-divine race of half-human half-serpent beings that reside in the netherworld (Patala) and sometimes take human form. Mythological, they are typically represented in association with snakes by Hindus, Buddhists, and Jains.

A female naga is called a Nagi and is the king of nagas and naginis.
