Meirion James Trow (born 1949) writes mysteries under the name M. J. Trow. A former history teacher, Trow has written one historical series based on Kit Marlowe, and a series about a contemporary teacher-turned-sleuth named Peter Maxwell.
His "Inspector Lestrade" series is based on the wellknown character from the Sherlock Holmes stories by Sir Arthur Conan Doyle.
