Baroness Karen Christenze von Blixen-Finecke (née Dinesen; 1885 – 1962) with pen name "Isak Dinesen," was a Danish author who wrote works in Danish and English.
Blixen is best known for Out of Africa, an account of her life while living in Kenya, which was adapted into an Academy Award-winning motion picture. She is also noted for Seven Gothic Tales.
