Mort Künstler (born 1927) is an American artist, often regarded as the Dean of American historical artists, who is renowned for his dramatic color paintings of historical events, especially of the American Civil War. He has also created advertising art; made posters for movies such as The Poseidon Adventure; and painted covers for magazines like Newsweek and Reader's Digest.
Condition: Fine, tight, clean copy with bright unfoxed illustrations. Traces of two or three thin scuffs to covers. Signed Limited Edition with number line "8" through "4" thus indicating 4th printing: in our view a negligible factor offset by the edition's limitation and artist's signature.
