Madeleine L'Engle Camp (1918 - 2007) was an American writer of young adult fiction, including A Wrinkle in Time, which won the Newberry Medal, and its sequels.

She also wrote several adult novels including A SEVERED WASP. It continues the story of a pianist, Katherine Forrester, who returns to New York City in retirement from concert touring in Europe. L'Engle's works reflect her Christian faith, strong interest in science, and human relationships.
