Brian Wilson Aldiss, OBE, (1925- ), named a Grand Master by the Science Fiction Writers of America in 2000 and inducted into the Science Fiction Hall of Fame in 2004.
Aldiss is famous for his numerous Sci-Fi novels (e.g., Non-Stop , The Primal Urge , Frankenstein Unbound , the Helliconia Trilogy [1982-85]); as well as short stories (e.g., No Time Like Tomorrow , Neanderthal Planet , "Super-Toys Last All Summer Long"--the basis for Spielberg's, A.I. Artificial Intelligence). Aldiss is a VP of the international H. G. Wells Society, and has won nearly every prestigious Sci-Fi award.
