Sena Jeter Naslund (born 1942 in Birmingham, Alabama) is an American writer. She has published seven novels and two collections of short fiction. Her 1999 novel, Ahab's Wife, and her 2003 novel, FOUR SPIRITS, were each named a New York Times Notable Book of the Year. The Spirits are those of four girls who were killed in the Birmingham church bombing of September, 1963. The book is dedicated to them.
