SUPERIOR CONDITION: tight, clean copy with some shelf wear: rubbing mainly to the top and bottom of the spine & a bit to corners; cloth otherwise quite clean with little wear. Slight losses to top & trailing edges of front pastedown. Moderate uniform age-toning. Faded gold lettering on spine. Previous owner's handsome signature with flourish on verso of half title; also calling card on front pastedown affixed to printed advertisement for Clarke, Beeton & Co.'s Works.
