Rutherford George Montgomery (1894 – 1985) was an American writer of Dick Tracey (1941-46) and children & young people's books. In addition to his given name, RGM used the pseudonyms A.A. Avery, Al Avery, Art Elder, E.P. Marshall, and Everitt Proctor. A number of his wartime adventures were published by Grosset & Dunlop. Clayton Knight also illustrated three of them.
