Though the colophon indicates there were 26 copies lettered A-Z that were slipcased and included an original illustration and manuscript poem; plus 375 numbered copies, at least half of the publication was destroyed when a warehouse flooded. The limitation is thus much less.
Jack Lindsay (1900-900) was born in Melbourne, Australia, the eldest son of famous cartoonist-writer-artist-sculptor Norman Lindsay (1879-1969). Jack's brother Philip (1906-58) joined his brother in England, where he worked as a broadcaster and historical novelist.
