Kabir (ca.1400) was a Muslim strongly influenced by Sufi-and-Hindu religious ideas. He founded a sect to which more than a million Hindus in Northern India belong.

Robert Bly (1926 - 2021) was an American poet, essayist, and leader of the mythopoetic men's movement. He won the National Book Award in 1968 for The Light Around the Body. His book Iron John: A Book About Men (1990) became a long-running New York Times Best Seller. A prolific poet, he has sometimes been associated with the mystical side of the Beat Generation such as Alan Ginzberg, and lovers of Sufi verse. Bly also published Kabir: Ecstatic Verse, Mirabai, and The Winged Energy of Delight--all in 2004.
